AI and automation for retail and e-commerce: the store, the inbox and the numbers, joined up.
A shop that sells online and over the counter ends up with orders in one system, stock in another and customer questions in a third. Somebody spends part of every day copying between them. We connect the three so you can see what is selling without building a report, and AI takes the first pass at the customer questions, the unfinished orders and the product pages.
Where the day disappears
Copying between systems
An order comes in online, then gets retyped into the stock sheet and the accounts. A stock count changes in one place and stays wrong in the others.
The same customer questions
Where is my order, do you have it in another size, can I return it. Each one is answered by hand, from whichever inbox it landed in.
Product pages that never get written
New lines of hardware, clothing or homewares sit unlisted, or go up with a supplier's one-line description, because nobody has a spare afternoon.
Where most shops start with us
- Step 1
Connect the store to everything behind it
Orders from your store flow into stock and accounts by themselves, so a sale is recorded once and shows up everywhere it should.
- Step 2
Put the customer questions in one queue
Email, web chat and WhatsApp messages arrive together, with a drafted answer that already includes the order status.
- Step 3
Then look at the numbers and the storefront
With clean order data underneath, a sales screen, reminders for unfinished orders and better product pages are straightforward additions.
What we can build for a retail or online store
- AI agents and assistants that answer the everyday customer questions from your own order and stock records, and draft product descriptions from supplier sheets for you to edit.
- Workflow automation that passes each order from Shopify or your till to stock, dispatch and Xero or MYOB, and sends a reminder to shoppers who left an order unfinished.
- Websites built to sell: a storefront that loads quickly, shows live stock and makes checkout short on a phone.
- Dashboards and reporting that put sales by product, stock running low and orders waiting to ship on one screen, across online and in store.
- Landing pages and funnels for a single range, a seasonal sale or a wholesale sign-up, each feeding its orders and enquiries into the same records.
Why the shop works better as one system
A reply to a customer is only right if the stock figure behind it is right, and the stock figure is only right if every order reaches it. That chain is why we build AI, automation, custom software and websites together. The website takes the order, automation records it, any custom software handles what your store platform cannot, and AI works from records it can rely on. You own every part, in your own accounts.
Questions
What is AI and automation for retail and e-commerce?
It means connecting the store, the stock records, the accounts and the customer inbox so information is entered once. On top of that, AI drafts replies to customer questions, follows up orders that were started and not finished, and writes first drafts of product pages.
What does it cost for a shop our size?
There is no published figure, because a single online store is a different job from several locations with a warehouse. We go through how orders, stock and messages move in your shop, then send a written scope with the cost and the time. You decide once you have read it, and no work starts before that.
How long does it take to connect everything?
That turns on how many systems are involved and whether each one allows a connection. Linking a store to accounts is quicker than rebuilding a storefront. The scope states the timing for your shop before you say yes.
Will AI reply to our customers without us seeing it?
You choose. Many shops begin with AI drafting each reply and a staff member pressing send. Simple answers such as order status can go out directly once you are comfortable, while refunds and complaints always go to a person. The model runs under business terms and does not train on your data.
We are on Shopify. Do we have to move?
No. If Shopify suits you, we connect to it and build around it. We only suggest a different storefront when there is something you need that the current one cannot do, and we explain why in the scope.
Can it handle wholesale customers as well as retail?
Yes. Trade pricing, repeat orders and account customers can run through the same stock and order records as your retail sales. A food supplier or a hardware wholesaler often needs this more than the public storefront.
