AI and automation for small manufacturers: from the drawing to the invoice, connected.

Drawings read by hand, prices in a spreadsheet, the same order typed into three systems. We connect the quote, the order and the invoice so details are entered once wherever your tools allow.

Where the time goes

  • Quotes worked out by hand

  • The same order typed three times

  • Production and stock out of sight

Questions

What does AI and automation for a manufacturer look like in practice?

Mostly it is office work done for you. Quotes are drafted from drawings and specs, customers are followed up, accepted quotes become orders and invoices, and production and stock are on one screen. Your team still makes the decisions and approves what goes to a customer.

How much does it cost for a business like ours?

It depends on the business. A workshop that wants its quotes followed up needs a different build from a fabricator pricing every order from drawings, so we do not publish a figure. We look at how you run the work now, then draw up the plan with the cost in it. Nothing starts until you agree.

How long before we are using it?

That follows from what is being built and which of your tools it has to connect to. The plan we write for you states the time next to the cost, and you read both before deciding.

Can AI read our drawings and specs?

It can pull a lot from them, and how much depends on the kind of drawings you receive. We say in the plan what it will and will not read. Either way your estimator checks every draft before it leaves.

Do we have to replace our design or accounting software?

Usually not. We begin with what your team already uses and connect to it where the software allows. Everything is set up in your accounts and on your devices, not ours.

Our floor staff are not computer people. Will they use it?

We build for a tablet or phone on the floor and for as few taps as possible. Most of what we set up runs in the background, so the floor sees an order list and the office sees the rest.
